UMW-OG contributes life jackets to flood prone kampungs in Terengganu
Ever vigilant and concerned, UMW Oil & Gas Corporation Berhad (UMW-OG) through its drilling and workover services arms; UOD and UWO respectively, recently distributed life jackets to flood prone kampungs located in Terengganu in anticipation of possible floods.
Mooted by the Corporate Communications department, the surplus life jackets from various UMW-OG rigs were consolidated and distributed with the assistance from Mohd Sufian Mohamad, Blaster & Painter, UWO, based at Kemaman Supply Base.
Mohd Sufian oversaw the distribution of close to 100 life jackets to four (4) kampungs, namely Kampung Tebak Batu 16, Bandar Baru Bukit Mentok, Kampung Air Putih Batu 14 and Kampung Bukit Mentok; which were well received by their respective kampung committee.
UMW-OG hopes that the initiative would not only help the recipients in time of need but also strengthen the relation between the community and the Company.
