UMW-OG recently collaborated with Institut Onn Jaafar (IOJ) in distributing food; namely breakfast packs to Kuala Lumpur’s urban poor in the vicinity of Jalan Tuanku Abdul Rahman.

Spearheaded by IOJ, the organisation whose patron is none other than Datuk Seri Hishammudin Hussein, the initiative managed to reach out to more than 200 urban poor and the needy.

This first session witnessed more than 20 volunteers from the UMW-OG family, convening as early as 6.30 am in the morning to lend a helping hand and see the recipients walk away with smiles and an energy boosting breakfast to start their day. UMW-OG’s volunteers were also joined by student-volunteers from Universiti Kuala Lumpur (UniKL).
