UMW-OG recently held a one day terrarium workshop at Taman Botani Putrajaya.

Back in the day, when space was not yet a luxury, people almost always had homes with large gardens. Today, with urbanisation, houses barely accommodate much. As cities expand, cluttering landscapes and skylines with steel and concrete, it becomes increasingly harder to find any green patches! Enter terrariums — tiny capsules of garden, offering a welcome green spot to your workplace or home.

The recent workshop helped participants understand nature in a fun way. You don’t need a green thumb to keep your terrarium alive, as it only needs low-maintenance plants which to be watered every couple of weeks.

Prior to the workshop, the participants were also taken on an educational tour of the botanical garden.
